Well , finally back from the motherland and have I purchased some amazing pieces for you all to have .
My trip started after a 36 hour flight arriving at Linate airport ,I head straight to the hotel and hop into bed as I know my saturday will be hideously busy searching for insperation .
Up early cause of the time difference I work out what to wear cause its all about what you look like here , nothing else seems to matter and head downstairs to have a little breakfast . My journey then continues as I head to the station and catch the train like a local , I have never seen so many people look so amazing catching the train into town unlike australia where some people don’t even clean their faces .
Just four stops from Centrale and your in fashion heaven …….from Dior to Mc queen . I was dying , every window was sporting their new summer collections and there was not one thing I thought I could do without .There were masses of prints in beautiful jewel colurs e.g purple , green , blue , orange and hints of brown and black of course .
Accessories were more more and more just how I love it and gold was still huge in shoe detail and handbags .
The attention to detail and cut in most of the collections explains the exorbadent price tags which I think is absolutely worth it you can just imagine the procedures taken to come up with the final look , from fabric design and colour to finally the end product everything was so beautiful .
So finally comes monday and off I treck to all the fabric houses where I search to bring to melbourne and every other state what I think it needs . Shopping for our suddenly hideously cold winter I purchase some gorgeous brocades, melton wools and jerseys in a variety of colours and prints and an amazing range of loose weave knits in wool and angora in black , blue and grape and I was lucky enough to grab some of the latest pieces from the mills summer collections only cause I have to be the first to have everything and I think my customer should have the same privliages as I do .
Before I go I must also thank my beautiful new friend Angelo Katsapis who has just completed his second collection which is going off and all the stars are going crazy to wear his stunning pieces . Angelo was ever so kind as to look after me after my bag had been stolen while we were having lunch on a saturday afternoon , at the time it was hideous but angelo helped me luagh through it . Look out for this genius as he will be in the next issue of australian vogue .
